Twelve Acre Hill has many flowering shrubs that have been introduced over the years. One of the largest is a gnarled old Peegee Hydrangea on the southern border of the property. In late summer it is covered in conical clusters of white blooms which eventually dry to be papery to the touch and turn to beautiful shades of pink and green.
