Lexicon Word – “Union”.
It takes two – or three or four. Flat wooden boats have long been used to haul nets. These two are part of a string of similar boats, all tethered bow to stern off of the Government Wharf at Fox Point. I love their simple, elegant forms reflecting in the water, and the network of knotted ropes that bind them together. United in purpose, united in form.
Currently available at Round Hill Studio in Annapolis Royal as a part of the group show “Lexicon”.
