Beach Rocks III

Camouflage

The leafy curls of a lungwort lichen mask the trunk of a tree in a fantastical mass of arabesques. An unexpected burst of colour and pattern in the gray winter woods all but hide the trunk of a large tree along the Woodens River Trail. DETAILS 30”x40” Acrylic on Canvas DATE 2015 Sold

Within

The barn at Twelve Acre Hill caught in the glancing light of a bright clear summer morning. Slender shadows give definition to the soft weathered shingles. Stacked

Parallel

The first day of the new year was celebrated with a walk along Wooden’s River. Beautiful soft snow fell in squalls interspersed with periods of brilliant sunshine, casting fingers of light deep into the trees. DETAILS 36″x24″ Acrylic on Canvas DATE 2013 Original Painting Sold. Beach Rocks

This beach juts into the shipping lane of Halifax Harbour from McNabs Island. Rocks worn smooth by the movement of the swell pack tightly together and ,left wet by the receeding tide, reveal a rainbow of earthy colours. DETAILS 36″x48″ Acrylic on canvas DATE 2007 Original Painting Sold.
