I often wonder what colour the barn at Twelve Acre Hill was when first painted. There isn’t much paint left on the shingles, but they always seem to be changing colour in different light and different weather. On a rainy day they will be quite a dark grey, on a winter morning a soft sandstone colour. When the fire of a sunset is in the sky the barn sometimes glows a vibrant coral hue. We are blessed with beautiful sunsets across Saint Margaret’s Bay. This barn has witnessed many.
